Spiritual Formations Pastor - Brier Creek Campus

Full Time

The Brier Creek Spiritual Formations Pastor should have a pastoral heart for shepherding the church and a detail oriented mind for implementing and overseeing systems. This pastor will work with the Brier Creek Campus team and the Small Groups’ Team at the Summit and reports directly to the Brier Creek Operations Director. The main duties of this job include: 1) Implementing the Small Groups Plan, 2) Overseeing the Recruitment and Training of new leaders, 3) Overseeing the Planting of new groups, 4) Connecting people to Brier Creek Small Groups 5) Coaching small group coaches, and 6) Overseeing adult discipleship ministries.

Campus Worship Leader

The campus worship leader strives to exalt Jesus and disciple worshipers by embodying and executing Summit Worship DNA.  This position leads congregation and volunteer teams in gathered worship in alignment with the campus pastor and central ministries, contributing to the campus team and the central ministry of Summit Worship. The campus worship leader is a direct report to the campus pastor and also receives coaching and leadership from the worship pastor.

Residency and Internship Opportunities

Church Planting Resident

A Church Planting Residency is a full-time, nine-month position at The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham for lead planters. Participants receive a realistic experience of life and ministry in a church planting church while preparing to plant a church in North America. Residents receive assessment, training, and ongoing coaching through the Summit Network while recruiting a team, fundraising, and developing their strategy for the future plant. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be sent out to plant.

Summit Ministry Internship

The Summit Ministry Internship (SMI) is a nine-month, 20-hours-per-week support raising position intended for men and women who are exploring a call to ministry. The program combines focused training, hands-on experience, and intentional mentorship to help participants grow in their leadership ability and clarify their calling. Upon completion of the program participants will possess valuable ministry experience, a meaningful relationship with Summit staff members, and better understanding of their calling.

Summit Ministry Apprenticeship

Whether you’re a man called to pastor or a woman called to church ministry, understanding the importance of training is your first step toward a life of healthy and effective ministry. The apprenticeship is an intensive, two-year training experience that offers significant hands-on ministry experience, weekly training, and mentorship by seasoned church leaders. The apprenticeship is a support raising position up to 35 hours per week.
