Prison Ministry

Serving justice-involved men and women in RDU.

Relationships are essential to life!  God has designed for us to live in community.  It’s where discipleship and life happens.  Everything we do in Prison Ministry is to build relationships.  Ultimately we want to introduce people to the most important relationship they will ever have, one with Jesus!

There are a few different areas where we build relationships with the justice-involved:

  • Prison Ministry: We build relationships through worship services, bible studies and special events inside the men’s and women’s prison.  Currently Wake Correctional Center has not reopened.
  • Reentry Ministry: We build relationships through helping with practical needs as men and women transition back into society.
  • Penpal Bible Studies: We help disciple the incarcerated men and women through a correspondence Bible Study.

Note: You must be a Summit member to serve as a volunteer with Summit’s Inside prison ministry services.
