Prison Ministry

Serving incarcerated men and women in Wake County

We want to see the truth and hope of the gospel taken to all people, including those who are justice-involved. This begins by holding services in local correctional facilities, then walking alongside friends through sponsorship during their last months of incarceration, and ultimately helping them make their transition into society.

This looks like serving in one or more of the following ways:

  • Inside Ministry: Services inside the men’s or women’s prison–Currently on hold due to covid and staff-shortages
  • Outside Ministry: helping with practical needs and walking in intentional relationships.

Note: You must be a Summit member to serve as a volunteer with Summit’s Inside prison ministry services.
