Awana

Partnering with families to raise a generation for Christ

What is Awana?

Awana at the Summit is a program being offered at many of our campuses that enables us to partner with families in growing spiritually strong kids and raising a generation for Christ. We want kids to be Scripture-rich, with a desire to love God, love each other, and love our world. It is our desire to reinforce the gospel in each child’s life and deepen their understanding of biblical truths by learning God’s Word.

Frequently Asked Questions

Awana is designed for kids 3 years old by September 1st through 4th grade.
We allocate Summit Kids budget toward Awana, but it does not cover the full cost of all our supplies for the entire school year (books, shirts/vests, awards). The cost we charge is only to help us break even for the budget year.
Some parents will serve every week, and we ask every parent to at least substitute twice each semester. Families will need to spend 20 minutes each week memorizing verses with their kids, then the kids will quote their memorized verses when they come to Awana.
Our program runs for a traditional school year (September through April).
