Family Member

As family members, disciples of Jesus actively commit to our aspiring multi-ethnic family by cultivating strong, healthy relationships with other family members in our church.

A Member of God's Family

The Christian life is not a solo pursuit; it is meant to be lived together in fellowship with others. Every Christian follows Jesus as a part of a larger body of Christians called the church—which is also described as the people of God and the household of God. This church is vibrantly diverse, composed of a multiethnic and multigenerational array of persons in every social context. Disciples of Jesus actively commit to our aspiring multiethnic family by cultivating strong, healthy relationships with other family members in our city.

Daily Prayer

“God, expand my understanding of the church as a diverse family, provide me with meaningful relationships, and show me how to love and care for my brothers and sisters in Christ.”

Learn more about our Summit Church family.

We host regular gatherings—in-person and online—for our guests to learn more about our church family. Join us for Explore the Summit, which is our way to personally introduce you to the vision, values, and history of our church. You’ll also have an opportunity to meet our elders and receive some personalized counsel on which next step is best for you.

Find community.

Christian community is so much more than showing up to an event or listening to a talk to obtain more information. The essence of biblical community is real relationships. These relationships develop from intentionality and a commitment to pursue God together. We encourage every disciple at the Summit to commit to a Small Group in our city. If you are looking for Christian community, we would love to help you find a Small Group.

Read the Bible.

The Bible is God’s Word. It is the primary way God speaks to us. A daily habit of Bible reading enables us to worship God, commune with him, and obey his commands.

John 1:12–13; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; and Ephesians 2:11–22. See also Genesis 12:1–3; Exodus 19:1–6; Matthew 12:50; Galatians 3:6–9, Galatians 27–29; 1 Timothy 3:5, 1 Timothy 15; 1 Timothy 5:1–2; 1 John 3:1–2; and Revelation 7:9–10

The Whole Disciple

As a whole disciple, you embody several identities at once—family member, worshiper, servant, steward, and witness—and they influence every area of your life. At the Summit, we want to help you live out these identities through core discipleship activities—ongoing, lifelong tools that God uses to shape you into Christlikeness.
