2017 North American Church Plants

Jan 27, 2017

We are coming to God again, putting everything on the table to see what he will do through us. Our God multiplies everything we give back to him. The local church is God’s “plan A” for bringing the gospel to the ends of the earth. With a goal to plant 1,000 churches in our generation, this year we are helping plant or revitalize eight North American churches this year.

Of those eight, three planters will be sent out from the Summit with many of you this spring:

Mike and Ashley McKee | Atlanta, GA

Mike has served on staff at the Summit since 2012, most recently as the associate campus pastor at the Chapel Hill campus. Mike has also been involved at UNC as a former student-athlete, leading Bible studies for multiple athletic programs. He and his wife Ashley are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby girl in December.

The McKees are excited about rooting their lives in Atlanta to plant a gospel-centered church that multiplies and sends disciples. Connect with Mike.

Cameron and Tymara Triggs | Orlando, FL

Cam Triggs is married to his graceful wife Tymara. Together they chase their energetic baby boy Cameron Triggs II. The Triggs family hails from Jacksonville, FL where they enjoyed more than three years of youth ministry at Shiloh Church. Previously, Cam served in campus and young adult ministry in Central Florida.

Last year, we sent Louis Tamburro to East Orlando. This year, Cam is going to the heart of Orlando, to plant a multiethnic church that will transform the heart of the city with the hope of the gospel. Connect with Cam.

Terry-Lee and Abby Kirkland | Cincinnati, OH

Terry-Lee grew up in Panama City, FL where two of the greatest things in his life happened: he became a follower of Jesus and he married his wife Abby. After getting married, they moved to Louisville to attend Southern Seminary. During this time, they also served with a new church start in Chicago. When Terry-Lee and Abby visited Cincinnati for the first time, they knew God was calling them to call the Queen City home. Connect with Terry-Lee.
